Status of submissions / how can we kick submission process into overdrive

We have 3 submissions - 2 ideas and 1 speaker proposal. Proposal form has a deadline of Feb. 18.

Most votes - Better connecting our non-U.S./international community

most of the rest of the topics were in the middle, though some with fewer votes can be eliminated out right (buddy meetup, plugins)

should also continue with - a form of the Navigating implementation format from Kansas City forum - provides a less intimidating platform for people to talk about their situation and/or share ideas

Continuing to fill in forum agenda with session ideas from previous calls and refining the sessions/identifying speakers, etc.

Topics assigned as follows. The listed people will work together to refine the topic and beginning developing a session around it. We will aim initially for sessions to be 1 hour to 90 minutes, though they could be shorter. Nothing should be longer to ensure that each Forum block has a mix of content.

Patrick and Jessica: IT session

Leilani and Christine K.: Regional discovery platforms

Maddie (and Anne Marie Lyons): Navigating your implementation, with elements from the Kansas City group format

Stephen and Christine D.: Making the case for ArchivesSpace membership/using ArchivesSpace, with emphasis on non-U.S. audience

Mariella: digital objects workflows that integrate other systems (CalTech and session proposal from Suzanne Chase at Georgetown)

Venkat, Megan, Maggie: TBD

TBD: Implementing the public user interface

The Forum is open to all - membership is not required. We will publicize it to networks beyond our typical listservs. We can begin doing this right away. (add the names/addresses of places you’ve promoted it to this page)

We will require registration for the Forum, but with the intent of knowing who is planning to come and being able to follow up with evaluations/other materials, not to keep people out.
