10min	LCNAF plugin		From Francis Lapka: Yale proposes a number of changes to the AS LCNAF plugin, including some that may be Yale specific, and others that would be universally useful (we think). We intend to hire a vendor this summer to enact the changes outlined in the spec. Revised code for the plugin could of course be shared with the wider AS community. You’ll see that we want the plug-in to supply the “sort name” rather than have AS try to assemble it. This is especially necessary with complex headings. Our goal is to create a “sort name” that is an exact match for the authorized heading (including the form of punctuation); this is easy accomplished when we grab the form directly from the LC MARCXML. Purpose of LCNAF plug-in: Imports agent records from LCNAF to ArchivesSpace. There's a search box and then creates and populates the agents. Cory sent some feedback. Terry agrees that sort name makes sense (rather than construct one). Most of the changes are sort name stuff and trimming and removing programs. As someone who hasn't really used it, seems good.
