Statement on Use:
Previous research on use of library catalogs indicates that users rarely use mobile devices in the discovery process and that they prefer to use computers for this work. These findings suggests that it may not be fruitful to invest many resources in the mobile interface for ArchivesSpace.
Recommendation:
After spending time working through a set of core tasks on the PUI, one area of concern emerged regarding the inconsistencies in mobile search result pages. Currently, the search results page from conducting a search on the repository page formats differently than when conducting a search on the ASpace homepage. We suggest that all mobile search result pages be formatted to show results before filters.
