Detailed notes:
Design:
Designs are still behind the wireframes and will remain so until after the 12/10 call. Once wireframes are finalized, designs will be updated to match the determined functionality.
Please provide any notes you have about the work you are seeing!
Jungleen to create a page that shows proposed icons matched up with glossary (based on feedback from Sue).
Wireframe Contents & Arrangement:
The group overwhelmingly likes option C, with some aspects of option A.
Like the color indicators because they help to clearly show the hierarchy.
Use the idea from option A for any unitid information (e.g. Series 2). Use the idea from option C for any instance information. Give the archivist the ability to leave out the instance information.
Move the dates above the instance information.
Brian pointed out that the titles are usually longer than demonstrated here, and so we will adjust the wires to reflect this for the next iteration. He is also concerned about the narrow width of contents & arrangement, so this needs to be considered in design.
General review of wires:
Default order for notes: Cory suggests using DACS order for notes, with some variation. Cory provided a link to this in slack.
The number indicator in the accordions is not useful (many agreed with this) and should be removed.
Deaccession records display in PUI? Cate: default not show, but option to make public (Sue says same).
Mark: finding aid title should not be linked, this is the finding aid.
WG will continue looking at the wires and interacting on Slack/Confluence.
Wrap up:
Next call = wrap up of wireframes
Please make use of slack
Mark will contact everyone over email, as he is:
putting together people that will do user testing
putting together MVP for shipping
