Goals/objectives of the forum

• Code4Lib – liked that format, workshop in the morning, breakout session to interact in a more conversational setting. Probably hard to do that to squeeze that all in

Discuss the general forum structure

• Announcement:

• lightning rounds: like them towards the beginning of the day. so that you can track people found them
  • boston forum, lightning round was early

• liked breakout sessions, but needed better coordination and structure
• breakout sessions, something specifically focused on lone arrangers, small institutions
  • maybe smaller rooms broken into thematic areas

• API workshop – positive responses. Maybe a beginner or an intermediate/advanced workshop?
  • ArchivesSnake
  • API workshop is going to change/freshen up
• Help institutions transition in. Some people just need a refresher on best practices.
  • Workshop or writing of a plugin – that tooltips can be done in a form.
  • RDE, things that can make your ASpace lives easier
  • Can't really teach best practices/101. out of their scope
  • Bring a finding aid!
  • Break this down, where does this go? Where does this fit?

• Lightning round ideas:
  • here's one thing I did to make my ASpace life easier
  • A-ha Moments I remember – what an api is – changed perspective on how to use ASpace
  • Big projects people are working on.
• Mentoring idea: could be a place to meet face to face, swap stories
• Breakout sessions/discussion opportunities:
  • Valerie happy to do something with people who are afraid.
  • Have an opportunity to submit anonymous questions beforehand
• Assessments breakout session
  • How people are using it? (Smithsonian)
• Speakers: survey that goes out inviting speakers
